We are different, and we celebrate it!

Have you experienced therapy in a corporate physical therapy setting? You know, one when appointments are scheduled every 30 minutes causing your treatment session to overlap with someone else’s. The clinics where you have felt like it was a waste of time to be there as you spent most of your treatment performing exercises with very limited supervision by the PT that was on the other side of the clinic setting up someone else on equipment. To be honest, the traditional PT model has failed many and has led people to diminish the value of working with a physical therapist to help them recover through their pain and limitations. People have resorted to using personal trainers and google searching exercises to rehabilitate their bodies. Although there are many reputable and knowledgeable personal trainers, they are not trained nor licensed to diagnose and treat individuals to restore their abilities to move, function, and prevent disability.

After years of experience of the “profits over patients” mindset fed to physical therapist by corporate management, we wanted to create a clinic that embodied a new approach to provide quality care and attention to every patient that entered our doors. At Starting Pointe Physical Therapy you will have a unique experience to guide you towards lasting health and wellness.

    What can you expect?

We get it, your health is important, but you are super busy! Typical treatment frequencies at Starting Pointe Physical Therapy are only once a week, lasting 45 minutes to 1 hour. Thinking that’s not enough? It actually is when you consider that we are not just treating you, but we are educating you on what you should be incorporating into your busy lives to maintain the gains received in therapy. We will customize a home exercise program for you to execute throughout the week. No gym equipment is necessary. We can get creative so you can get active and healed!

You can guarantee that you will not be switched around to whichever therapist is available. You will always be treated one-on-one by our Doctor of Physical Therapy, giving you 100% continuity of care. Why wait until your next therapy session to tell us how your body is responding? We offer communication between treatment sessions via secure email or messaging which helps us gather information on how effective our treatment was in order to modify or progress interventions on the next visit. Email and messaging communication also is helpful to give you feedback on your custom exercise program.

When you choose therapy at Starting Pointe, we enter a partnership with you to care for your health needs. Attending therapy is an investment of your time and finances towards living your life without physical limitations. We encourage you to take an active role in your own recovery as your commitment to self will maximize your benefits and minimize your recovery time. Our goals are to teach you the skills you need to participate in your rehabilitation and to have the knowledge to not only maintain your gains, but also to prevent future injury.
