Dr. Natasha Jackson, PT

Dr. Natasha Jackson began her studies at University Florida to acquire her Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sports Sciences. She relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where she grew a passion for physical health interning at the Metro Atlanta YMCAs as a wellness coach. After managing a prominent personal training studio she was inspired to start her own in-home personal training company, Defined Changes, in 2006. Natasha realized that most of her fitness clients were struggling with physical ailments which limited their ability to participate in the simplest day to day task and physical activities they had at one time enjoyed with family and friends. This predicament planted a seed for her interest in functional fitness training and eventually physical rehabilitation.

Although successful at personal training, Natasha was still longing to further her education to help those clients who were still limited by persistent ailments. In 2008, Natasha was accepted to one of the nation’s top five physical therapy schools, Emory University, and in 2011 she graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Over the last ten years, Dr. Jackson has been practicing in multiple settings including acute care hospitals, outpatient clinics, and home health. Her goal through her therapy is to improve mobility, restore function, and inspire patient independence.

Dr. Jackson’s passion has always been in physical activity as she believes that the human body was made to move- not to be sedentary. She believes that the human body is God’s greatest creation and each individual is responsible for purposefully and intentionally maintaining their physical and mental well-being. Through physical therapy and wellness coaching, Dr. Jackson is striving to educate her community on the human body, its functions, abilities, and needs so that they can experience the immediate and long-term benefits of physical activity.
